From June, electric vehicle sellers in South Korea must tell buyers before contract signing who made the battery and where it was produced. The disclosure covers 10 battery-related details, including capacity, rated voltage, maximum output, cell maker, cell format and key raw materials.
The change comes as the number of registered electric vehicles reached 1,095,218 at the end of June, nearly 200,000 more than at the end of last year.
