South Korea’s Nuri launch vehicle lifted off from the second launch pad at the Naro Space Center at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday for its fifth mission, carrying 15 satellites toward a target sun-synchronous orbit about 575 kilometers above Earth. The payload includes five cluster-type small satellites designed for high-resolution observation of the Korean Peninsula and 10 CubeSats for testing medicines and industrial components in space and studying space radiation and Earth’s magnetic field.

The reported flight plan called for the first stage, fairing and second stage to separate in sequence before satellite deployment, but the available evidence does not independently confirm the final orbital insertion of every satellite.
