AI smart glasses are banned from the 2027 College Scholastic Ability Test, but identifying them may rely largely on supervisors’ visual checks. Jeonbuk is expecting 17,472 test takers, 667 more than in 2024, while the number of supervisors is expected to remain near 3,700. The Jeonbuk Office of Education said it would use existing checks, including watch inspections and photo comparisons, and review suspected cases after the test through the chief and assistant supervisors.

The approach leaves concerns about mistaken identification, complaints and disputes unresolved as new devices become harder to distinguish from ordinary glasses.
