A Microsoft threat intelligence report says North Korean hacking groups are using generative AI to produce phishing documents aimed at South Korean users. One group created more than 100 tailored PDF lures in August and September, with evidence that dozens could be generated within minutes.

The report also identified fake recruitment offers and possible use of AI coding tools to develop malware and evade detection. Microsoft said the technology is increasing the speed and scale of existing operations, but has not yet produced fully autonomous cyberattacks.
